Overview of Our Experience
Designed and commercialized a Peer-to-Peer web app for sharing "maps" (or libraries) of websites - new conceptualize of a "Search Engine" not based on proprietary algorithms and data tracking
Cloud Link Multisharing App (concept to commercialized product with global patent portfolio)
Design, develop and launch a cloud app that allows individuals and businesses to share "maps" (and collections of maps) of annotated, highly structured groups of links to any type of content anywhere on the Internet, along with bio and links about the mapmaker. Add advanced features, such as internal chat for mapmaking teams.

Next generation web-based advertising system (concept to commercialized product with global patent portfolio)
Design next generation Web-based advertising system using (1) user generated content in the form of internet "maps", and (2) delivery of ads based on where in each Internet "map" a user is. This system enabled dynamic, real-time delivery of the most relevant ads across any and all maps a user is accessing while at the same time preserving a user's privacy with no need to profile the user and no need to collect data on the user's browsing habits.

This innovative web app moved completely away from "lists" of search results that are found in Google, DuckDuckGo and other search engines. Further, the "results" in each web map (or library) were generated, managed and shared by the "mapmaker" and not an algorithm. This meant that each web map was unique and surfaced all the most relevant URLs to material of any kind (webpages, pdfs, images, social media links, IOTs, etc) as determined and maintained by the map maker.
Further, the web app allowed dialogue with the mapmaker, a way for each mapmaker to generate revenue from his/her maps, a way for anyone to discover maps of the web on any topic as long as the map maker had made a web map public. The default was that a map maker's maps were private to the map maker and/or the map maker's team.
Each map, and each link in a map was annotated and described in the map before a user of the map clicked on the link.
Maps were structured using the NeoKeys model that enabled fast access to has deep in a "tree" of links in a web map as needed, with fast access to another node or collection of nodes in a web map.
In many ways, algorithm-driven search engines are extraordinarily inefficient. Each person has to do a search fresh each time they want to find something. Further, most people don't go beyond the first few items in a list. And, increasingly, the first few items are paid results. This is even more pronounced on mobile screens where an even small part of a list of results appears on-screen at any one time. This buries many highly relevant, even the most relevant results, deep in a list where they are never seen. Search engines also do NOT have an incentive to deliver the most relevant set of results up front. Their incentive is to provide just enough relevance to appear good, but instead to drive people to click on the paid results. That is their revenue driver, and their business model.
Further, many people around the world are all doing a very similar search to each other. Each person has to do that search and check the results individually. They don't have access to a set of results that are pre-vetted by their peers or by experts, fully annotated and at their fingertips. So, the world and businesses waste untold hours with individuals doing and re-doing searches, choosing something at the top whether or not it is the most relevant and making that assessment on the fly on a topic they are not familiar with (or they wouldn't be searching for it).
Our peer-developed, shareable Web maps solve for all these issues. And, they remove the need for search engines to hoover up as much personal data as possible because each map is prepared and available and has ads relevant to the topic of the part of the map that the user is looking at, which presumably is the most accurate reflection of the person's interests at that immediate point in time. This means that advertisers should pay the most AND personal data is not needed. Win-win, unless you are a traditional search engine and have no incentive to change your business model.

Created an Android game for personal assessment of accuracy of making predictions (concept to commercialized product)
Design and managed the development of a game app to enable users to model their personal ability to make predictions correctly.

Designed, built and commercialized a Chinese and Japanese (Katakana and Hiragana) Text Entry App for MS Word
Invent, design and manage the software development using outsourced developers in the Ukraine of the world's first system for writing and editing every Chinese character in Microsoft Word documents using exclusively fonts of brushstrokes entered in 2D grids directly in any Word document, and editable brushstroke-by-brushstroke. By moving away from systems that index into libraries of whole Chinese characters, and publishing the specifications for open-source development by any typographer of custom Chinese brushstrokes, the full potential of the Chinese language on computers is unlocked. Design and manage the go-to-market strategy of the commercial version of the software.
Designed apps for texting via a 12 key keypad a complete set of Chinese and/or Japanese brush with characters entered brushstroke-by-brushstroke in the exact same way as written characters are taught to be written. An AI overlay can predict from the first few brushstrokes what character or set of characters to enter.
Also designed, developed and commercialized a set of "fonts" for Chinese brushstrokes, and made the font design open source so that anyone could develop a specialized font for Chinese brushstrokes. These fonts worked with the app so a user could choose the font to use when texting Chinese characters.
Used expert indie typographic font designer, as well as a consultant who was an expert in Chinese calligraphy, writing systems and brushstrokes.

Created, developed and commercialized next generation two-dimensional MS Word emotion creation and text entry ("doodling" software titled "Squawk") (concept to commercialized product)
Extrapolated the Chinese brushstroke software into a system of "doodling" based on generalizing "brushstrokes" into any set of drawn images made a part of a font. Used outsourced developers to create this uniquely powerful system for telling written stories expressed through font-based pictorial pictographs (aka, advanced/dynamically constructed emoticons).
